MECHANICSBURG – Winning state gold was the main goal for the Boiling Springs field hockey team ever since the 2024 Bubblers had silver medals draped around their necks after losing the championship game to West Perry.

The Bubblers, the District 3 Class 1A champions, earned the opportunity to turn that silver into gold with a workmanlike performance in a 3-0 shutout victory over Greenwood in the the PIAA 1A semifinal on a cold and windy Tuesday night at Memorial Park Stadium.
