Jaire Alexander, a two-time Pro Bowl cornerback whom the Eagles acquired from the Ravens ahead of last week’s trade deadline, will take time away from football to focus on his physical and mental health, according to multiple reports Tuesday night.
The Eagles traded a 2026 sixth-round pick to Baltimore on Nov. 1 for Alexander and a 2027 seventh-rounder, hoping he could help plug the leak at the second outside corner spot, opposite Quinyon Mitchell. But Alexander, 28, didn’t make the trip to Green Bay ahead of Monday night’s 10-7 win, the team announced Sunday, citing his knee and a coach’s decision.
Following offseason knee surgery, Alexander played in just two games with the Ravens this season and was listed as a healthy inactive for five.
