WCVB viewers sent in a host of pictures of Tuesday evening's Northern Lights, easily seen with skies clearing in the hours before midnight.
The Space Weather Prediction Center issued a rare G4-level watch for Tuesday evening, with the aurora borealis arriving at an estimated time of approximately 8 p.m.
Viewers can still catch a glimpse of the lights Tuesday, as the best time to try and see the aurora is between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Your cellphone camera can help, as it picks up more light than your eyes. The camera app might show some colors in the sky that you can't see without it.
