The festival was modest but it was for a good cause.

There was a petting zoo, used books and items, jewelry and demonstrations on weaving at the Saturday, Nov. 8, event.

Everything on sale at the 77th annual Pilgrim Place Festival benefitted Pilgrim Place, a senior living community in Claremont.

There also were rides, educational sessions and live entertainment, including mariachis.

Proceeds went to Pilgrim Place’s resident health and support program.
