There's no denying that the weather has taken a turn for the worse recently. The record-breaking summer ended with a splash as a weekend washout marked the start of autumn. ‌

There wasn't much to shout about in September, and there hasn't been an October as dark since the 1960s. Those hoping for a sunny turnaround in November have been left disappointed. ‌

The Met Office has issued several weather warnings for the UK this week, with heavy downpours and huge gusts hammering different parts of Britain. ‌
