Joel Edmundson and Quinton Byfield had a goal and an assist each as the Los Angeles Kings scored three quick goals in the second period to beat the Montreal Canadiens 5-1 on Tuesday.

Joel Armia and Kevin Fiala also scored while Warren Foegele added an empty-net goal for Los Angeles (8-5-4), which won its second consecutive game on the road. Darcy Kuemper stopped 21 shots.

Josh Anderson replied for Montreal (10-4-2). Lane Hutson, last season’s rookie of the year, added an assist in his 100th game and Sam Montembeault made 21 saves.
