CONNECTICUT, USA — Three Connecticut brothers have claimed a $2 million prize from a Mega Millions ticket , according to a CT Lottery spokesperson Tuesday.
One of the brothers bought the ticket at a Stop & Shop on 44 Lake Avenue Ext. in Danbury, using the computer to pick the numbers.
The ticket matched all five white balls in the Oct. 24 drawing. The numbers were 11, 18, 31, 51 and 56.
With the 2X multiplier feature, the $1 million prize doubled to $2 million.
Each brother claimed a third of the prize, receiving roughly $666,666. According to the spokesperson, the brothers plan to invest the money.
They said that their "mother would be upset if we didn't share it."
