MADISON (WKOW) -- Many people across southern Wisconsin were treated to a light show on Tuesday night, as the northern lights were visible.

The lights were due to a geomagnetic storm.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said the lights would be visible to more of the northern U.S. than typical on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
