Disney is reportedly planning another "woke" live-action remake of a classic film, despite major controversy surrounding its Snow White recast.

The American production giant reimagined the 1937 fairy tale Snow White, starring Rachel Zegler as the princess and Israeli actress Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, in a live-action film which premiered worldwide in March.

Commentator Evelyn Rae told Sky News host Andrew Bolt the remake was "potentially Disney's biggest flop", with reviews largely panning the film for a series of progressive tweaks including replacing the word "dwarf" with "magical creature".

The company now has its sights set on remaking Sleeping Beauty, according to entertainment reporter Daniel Richtman.
