SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - People can receive free one-on-one help with health insurance enrollment through the Affordable Care Act on Friday.

Counselors will assist with sign-ups at Springfield’s Library Center on South Campbell. Officials ask people to call and make an appointment to avoid waiting.

Call-417-862-0762.

People should bring identification and have their doctor’s name written down, said Treva Warrick of SeniorAge.

“We also ask that they have their doctor’s name written down so that we can make sure they are in the plan,” said Treva Warrick of SeniorAge. “If they have any prescriptions, we can show whether that’s covered under the plan.”

People who want coverage beginning Jan. 1 must enroll by Dec. 15.
