The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Tuesday (November 11) issued a notice to online gaming platform WinZO following an insolvency plea filed by Paytm’s parent company, One97 Communications Ltd, which claimed unpaid dues of around ₹3.6 crore for advertising services.
The matter was heard by a Bench comprising Justice Jyotsna Sharma (Judicial Member) and Anu Jagmohan Singh (Technical Member). The tribunal granted WinZO two weeks to file its response, with the next hearing scheduled for December 15.
Appearing on behalf of Paytm, Senior Advocate Krishnendu Datta told the tribunal that the dues stemmed from four invoices issued under purchase orders for promoting WinZO’s real-money gaming products, such as poker and rummy, on Paytm’s app. The invoices carried a 60-day payment term, an
