SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men. With the thousands of cases reported every year in the United States, treatment is crucial. November is Men’s Health Awareness Month and we’re learning about the cancer and a new treatment offered for men at June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City.
Dr. Lisa Chaiken said, “Prostate Cancer historically, people have often looked at it as a very indolent disease, but it can be very aggressive.”
Dr. Lisa Chaiken is a Radiation Oncologist at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. She says there’s close to 200,000 new cases of prostate cancer in the U.S. each year.
