ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The House of Representatives is returning to Washington D.C. poised to vote Wednesday on the government funding bill passed by the Senate on Monday.
Travel delays continue to impact airports across the country. Flights are now operating at a 6% reduction across 40 domestic airports.
If the funding bill passes, there is no concrete timeline for airports to return to normalcy according to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, but he said if the House does their job tomorrow we’re “well on our way” to less cancellations and delays.
He also issued a warning.
“If the House doesn’t pass this bill I think you’re going to look at Saturday, Sunday and Monday as tiddlywinks; it was beautiful,” Duffy said. “It’s going to get much worse than that.”
