Former President Barack Obama surprised a group of Wisconsin veterans on an honor flight to Washington, D.C. just days before Veterans Day.
Upon arrival from Madison, the veterans on the plane were greeted by the sound of Obama's voice over the loud speaker. Standing at the front was the former president as audible gasps were heard.
Badger Honor Flight is part of a national honor flight network that facilitates travel to the nation's capital so that World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans can observe the country's war memorials.
On Nov. 11, Veterans Day, Obama shared a video of the moment to social media.
