IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) - The Ironton Board of Education held its first meeting since the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) removed the Ironton High School football team from the 2025 playoffs.

The OHSAA cited recruiting violations by members of the Ironton Football coaching staff as reason for the penalty.

Community members attended the meeting to express their concerns, questioning why they were not informed about the investigation earlier and calling for communication, clarity, and accountability from the Ironton Board of Education.
