There is an effort is underway to attract a new data center to Kalkaska County.

Site developers behind the project say Kalkaska is the perfect location for next-generation computing that’s set to drive tomorrow’s AI future.

But there are still a lot of community questions around the technology--- and the company behind the project spoke with 9 and 10 News to explain some of the details.

The use of data centers is on the rise as more needs come from AI, cloud storage expansions, and increased personal internet use at home.
