HAWLEY, Pa. — It's been 55 years since Connie Jasonos came back home after serving in Vietnam.
"There's 58,479 names on the wall, fortunately I wasn't one of them, but I do have some friends that are on the wall,” said Connie Jasonos, Army veteran.
When he returned home, there weren't celebrations like the annual Veterans Night Welcome at the Settler's Inn in Hawley.
"It's a lot better now than it was when I came home; we didn't get the welcome that they give servicemen now,” said Jasonos.
Now 55 years later, veterans of all ages got the opportunity to stay a free night at the Settler's Inn as a token of appreciation for their service.
