LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The losing streak for Louisville is over after the No. 12 Cardinals beat in-state rival No. 9 Kentucky Tuesday night.

The Cardinals won 96-88.

Louisville dominated the game in the first half, leading by as much as 18 points. Kentucky cut into the lead, but UofL would take a 53-46 lead at the half.

The Cardinals came out firing again in the second half, leading by 20 at one point. But again, the Wildcats weren't giving up. Colin Chandler nailed a three with four minutes remaining to make it a four-point game.

While the Wildcats made a push, Louisville's offense wouldn't let up and the Cardinals were able to hold on for the win.
