MONROE CITY — The Washington Lady Hatchets didn’t lose very often last season, but South Knox was able to lay claim to a pair of those losses. However, WHS was able to erase that memory with a win on Tuesday night in the Spartan Dome.
Katie Reed ended with 19 points, while Shay Hawk, Kyra Schuckman and Ella Williams were all in double figures to help come away with the 52-41 victory. Reed also had 15 rebounds for a double-double, and Hatchets also limited the normally good shooting SK team to just 4-15 from behind the arc. The win gave WHS a split against Knox County teams and moved to 1-1 on the young season.
