Overnight, in 2023, a sculpted metal 'bin chicken' appeared on a bus shelter.
Within days, the sculpture had disappeared from the bus shelter in Brisbane's CBD.
A few months later, a similar but slightly different version of the same sculpture, complete with a ciggy in its beak and a beer can in its grasp, was placed on top of the XXXX Brewery in Milton, Queensland.
And so began the legend of the Brisbane bin chicken sculptures.
Two years later, 38-year-old artist Ryan Forster - known online as Sethius Art - has officially unmasked himself as the 'bin chicken guy'.
Since making his first 'Binny', Mr Forster has gone on to make about 200 different ibis sculptures.
