JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Construction on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' temple in Jacksonville is set to begin in early 2026.
The Church announced Tuesday that a groundbreaking ceremony on the Jacksonville Florida Temple will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026.
Plans for the 29,000 square-foot building, located at 3323 Loretto Road in Mandarin, were first announced three years ago in October 2022. At the time, the Church's President and Prophet Russell M. Nelson announced 17 other temples spanning from Mexico to Korea.
