LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Pryce Sandfort and Sam Hoiberg combined for 37 points in Nebraska’s 69-50 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore. Hoiberg, son of Huskers head coach Fred Hoiberg, impacted the game in multiple ways. The senior guard scored a career-high 18 points, while pulling down seven rebounds. He also had four assists and four steals.
Sandfort, an Iowa transfer, made 8-of-13 shots including three beyond the 3-point line.
Nebraska never trailed against the Hawks and led by as many as 31 points.
The victory raises the Huskers’ record to 3-0 with a trip to Sioux Falls ahead this weekend. Nebraska will play Oklahoma on Saturday in a neutral site game at The Pentagon.
During Tuesday’s game, the Huskers recognized football standout Emmett Johnson who was wearing a Heisman Trophy t-shirt.
