NEW YORK, NY – Radio station WTAW in Bryan/College Station, Texas recently won a National Association of Broadcasters Marconi award. Hope native Ben Downs, is the general manager, and started his radio career at KXAR in Hope.
WTAW Radio receives its second national award for small market radio programming.
The Marconi Award from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) was presented at the organization’s New York Show last month.
The award, named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Gugliemo Marconi, was established in 1989 to recognize stations and individuals for their excellence and performance in radio.
WTAW, which was among five finalists in this category, previously won in 2021.
