LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A familiar face to Louisville basketball is passing his knowledge of the game down to the next generation of players.
Ellis Myles, who was a standout at the University of Louisville, has been named head coach of the boys’ basketball team at The Academy at Shawnee.
The school made the official announcement on Tuesday , calling Myles a “legend” and “respected leader in the basketball community.”
“We are thrilled to have Coach Myles join the Shawnee family and lead our boys’ basketball program into a new era of growth, unity and success,” the school said in a statement.
The school added his dedication to youth development and community impact aligned with their mission to cultivate excellence and leadership among their students.
As a Cardinal, Myles averaged 8.9 points
