LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Wesleyan) - Nebraska Wesleyan University head football coach Brian Keller has announced that he will retire at the conclusion of the 2025 season, closing a remarkable 30-year tenure leading his alma mater. Keller will coach his final game on Saturday, November 15, when the Prairie Wolves host Simpson College at Abel Stadium in Lincoln at 1 p.m.
A 1983 NWU graduate, Keller has guided the Prairie Wolves since 1996, becoming the longest-tenured head coach in the American Rivers Conference and the winningest coach in program history. Throughout his career, Keller has left a lasting impact on thousands of student-athletes both on and off the field, earning recognition for athletic and academic excellence.
