PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Travelers across the country continue to feel the pain of the government shutdown as airlines delay and cancel flights under the FAA’s directive. But as airports slow down, other methods of transportation are ramping up.
Sometimes when you have a commitment, you have to make it happen. But does everyone embody that same attitude?
Each yellow or red mark on the board at Sky Harbor could be a setback. But sometimes, there’s no time for setbacks — taking a page out of the iconic character Neal Page’s book.
“My husband would have to come pick me up and then we would drive,” Melina Lopez said.
Amid the government shutdown, under the directive of the FAA, airlines cut 6% of their flights on Tuesday. Delays and cancellations piled up, leading some to seek other options.
