Four females have been arrested, including one aged 11, in connection to an armed robbery in Bakewell last night that resulted in an employee receiving cuts to his hand after he was threatened by the group with a knife, while five other youths have been arrested in relation to a late-night property crime spree and theft of a golf buggy that was driven around the Palmerston Golf Course over the weekend.

Police said they received a report of a group of four females and one male entering a service station in Bakewell around 11pm Tuesday night, where the group threatened an employee with a knife before stealing cash.

Police said the employee suffered cuts to his hand during the robbery, with the group fleeing the scene on foot into nearby parkland.
