SALEM, N.H. —
In Salem, veterans were treated to a free four-course meal as part of an annual tradition at Tuscan Kitchen.
Starting in 2010, when the company opened its first restaurant, its first day of business advertised free meals for veterans and service members. Over 2,000 people showed up.

They have done it every year since, bringing together people from all over New Hampshire.
“You see fathers and grandfathers and sons,” said Joseph Faro, founder and chief executive officer of Tuscan Brands. “I just met a man who is 104 years old, who fought in World War II. Incredible! Another one was 97, and I just spoke with a serviceman who served for 24 years; it’s really special.”
