An 11-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital after breaking her leg on an epic 120-metre slip-and-slide.
LifeFlight was called to a dramatic rescue at Christmas Creek in the Scenic Rim, south-east Queensland , after 11-year-old Rathdowney girl Felicity Kennedy was injured on an epic 120-metre slip-and-slide.

Felicity had been celebrating Australia Day 2025 with her family and friends, racing down the slide for hours without incident.
But when she went down with five others, her leg became trapped at the bottom and her thigh bone — the longest and strongest bone in the human body — snapped in half.
“When I was getting out of the water, I tried to walk and I couldn’t,” Felicity said.
