A holidaymaker returned to find that his car had been stripped of its parts in a Glasgow Prestwick Airport car park.
Patrick McCloskey had flown into the airport at 3.30am after enjoying a week-long break in Tenerife with his girlfriend. The 30-year-old and his partner were met by officers at passport control, who informed them that Patrick's car had been involved in a theft.
Patrick, who uses his car for work across NHS Hospitals, said he was furious that thieves managed to target his car while it was locked up with airport parking. He told the Record : "A week in Tenerife has turned into a nightmare.
"I am furious. I've not long bought the car and I use it for work. My job is stressful enough without this.
