A couple who were attempting to befriend wild grizzly bears were savagely attacked and devoured alive after making a fatal error.
For 13 summers, bear enthusiast Timothy Treadwell, 46, journeyed to Alaska's Katmai National Park to dwell amongst grizzlies. Despite cautions from friends and family, he christened the creatures he met and even ventured close enough to make physical contact with them.
