AAP MLA Raman Arora, representing the Jalandhar Central constituency, reportedly received a life-threatening phone call from an unidentified caller demanding ₹5 crore on Tuesday. The caller, using a foreign phone number, allegedly threatened to kill Arora, who was involved in extortion and corruption cases, and his family if the money was not paid.
This marks the second such threat call in three days after an initial call on November 8.
“The first call was ignored, but the second time, I had no choice but to report it,” Arora told reporters on Wednesday after filing an official complaint with Dhanpreet Kaur, Jalandhar Police Commissioner.
The Jalandhar Central MLA, who has been embroiled in multiple legal controversies, alleged that the caller did not reveal their identity or the name
