Nayagarh: Three persons were injured after unidentified miscreants hurled bombs following a failed theft bid at a village in Odisha’s Nayagarh district in the early hours of Wednesday, triggering panic among locals.
The incident took place in Solpata village of Bhatasahi panchayat under the jurisdiction of Nayagarh police station in the wee hours. One of the suspects has been apprehended and detained by police. ADVERTISEMENT
Sources said four bike-borne unidentified men entered the village and tried to break into several houses to carry out dacoity. However, their loot attempt was foiled after some vigilant villagers got whiff of the robbery and immediately raised an alarm. Following this, the miscreants hurled crude bombs at them while trying to flee.
