There are major delays on the M5 this morning due to flooding.

The issue is affecting the M5 northbound between junctions J3 and J2 with drivers told to expect 30 minute delays.

Two of three lanes are closed between the two junctions due to flooding with traffic building ahead of rush hour.

One lane reopens on the M5

One lane has reopened on the M5 northbound between J3 and J2. Assessments are now taking place to a damaged gully/drain. Motorists can still expect a 30 minute delay on approach.
