Downpours are set to hit Greater Manchester with another gloomy November day expected by forecasters .

Rain battered the region for much of Tuesday, with downpours leading to Stockport County's match against Wigan Athletic being suspended for almost an hour until conditions improved.

Meanwhile, several residents in and around Greater Manchester have reported areas of localised flooding this morning on social media.

Hesketh Bridge in Cheadle Hulme , Bank Street in Tottington and Eastgate in Whitworth are among some of the areas reported to have been affected.
