Police are appealing for the public's help in finding convicted criminal Kevin McAteer.

McAteer, aged 34, absconded from HMP Hatfield in Doncaster on September 22, 2025, and has since failed to surrender himself or cooperate with officers.

McAteer is originally from Manchester and has links to Salford , Swinton and Pendlebury.

The authorities are now seeking the public's help to locate him and return him to prison to continue his sentence for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

McAteer is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, of a slim build with dark brown straight hair. He may currently be clean shaven.

He has a tattoo on his right arm that reads 'Kelsea'.
