Nationwide customers have been told how they can bag free £75 payments.

The building society offers a FlexDirect Account but it doesn't work like most ordinary accounts.

It offers a high 5% level of interest but users can only deposit a maximum of £1,500.

Those who do that and leave it there for 12 months will earn £75 in interest, so it's an easy way to make some extra cash.

The building society explained exactly how the account works in response to a question from a customer, Mirror reports .

They asked: "Do I have to pay a minimum a month into my FlexDirect account?"
