Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Central Crime Station police have booked a case against an overseas consultancy for allegedly cheating several job aspirants of over Rs 1.05 crore by promising jobs abroad.

Police said the directors of the Himayatnagar-based consultancy had allegedly issued fake overseas work permits and withheld the victims’ passports.

They cheated nearly 40 job seekers through social media advertisements, promising employment in countries such as Australia, Germany, Lithuania, Malta, Albania, Laos, China, New Zealan
