MOUNT DORA, Fla. – If you’ve driven toward downtown Mount Dora lately, you may have noticed something that’s hard to miss. Donnelly Sreet is closed.

Nearly 19 inches of rain in a matter of hours on Oct. 26 proved too much for the street to handle.

Heavy rain washed away a key part of the roadway, leaving one of the more popular ways to get to this quaint area temporarily closed off.

But when it comes to getting to this popular holiday destination, business owners want you to know there is more than one road to this downtown destination.

We stopped by to see how businesses were doing after the storm, and they say things are starting to turn around.
