Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin has warned fans there will be 'a difficult few weeks ahead' and quipped he has 'two seatbelts on' as the club tries to steer itself through its latest crisis. ‌

The South Lanarkshire side were rocked by the news yesterday that owner Seref Zengin and director of football Gerry Strain have been deemed 'not fit and proper' to run club operations by the Scottish Football Association - leaving the club scrambling to put together a new board within seven days or face sanctions from the governing body. ‌

Anxious Accies fans have also called an emergency meeting for tonight to see how they can help save the club. ‌

Hamilton has already been hit hard by the SPFL in recent months with points deductions, fines and a transfer embargo imposed
