Chase, the 12-pound miniature goldendoodle, tapped into his inner herding dog and led his family out of trouble.
According to WABC7 , a fire broke out at home in Long Beach, New York, in the early morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 9. Everyone in the house was sleeping except for Chase.
After the blaze began, the tiny dog let out his loudest barks, waking up his family.
"The residents were woken by the dog barking, and then looked out and saw the fire," Rick DiGiacomo of the Long Beach Fire Department told the outlet.
Thanks to Chase's quick reaction, everyone inside the burning house, including the 2-year-old dog, escaped the fire without any injuries, though one of the people in the home had to escape onto the roof to avoid the blaze.
