Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash on a major Cambridgeshire A-road. The police were called to the A47 at Bretton in Peterborough at 5pm on Tuesday (November 11).
Two vehicles were involved. Fire crews from Thorney, Stanground, and Dogsthrope were also called to the incident. They used specialist equipment to release a casualty.
Two people were taken to Peterborough City Hospital with "potential serious injuries" that are not believed to be life-threatening, a police spokesperson said. The road was reopened just before 8pm.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We were called at 5pm yesterday (11 November) with reports of a collision on the A47 at Bretton, Peterborough involving two vehicles. The road was closed.
