CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns have been searching for that elusive formula of success since their return to the NFL in 1999.

With the team off to a 2-7 record, after losing to the lowly New York Jets Sunday, this season looks to be more of the same. The Browns do have at least part of that formula, thanks to their tough defense led by defensive end Myles Garrett. But the offense lacks any semblance of being playoff caliber.

This week the Browns are 8.5-point under-dogs to the Baltimore Ravens (4-5) who have won three games in a row and have their talented quarterback, Lamar Jackson, back from injury. The Ravens pummeled the Browns in their meeting this season, 41-17.
