He was recently stripped of all his royal titles and honours by King Charles, and now, the newly styled Andrew Mountbatten Windsor may be receiving yet another change to his name. Buckingham Palace is said to be considering a small-yet-important alteration to the disgraced former Prince's surname, in line with the late Queen's wishes.
‘His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style , Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew ,’ read a notice from the Palace last month. ‘Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.’
