Morgan McAslan had been dreaming about playing pro somewhere . Seeing this news, her excitement meter spiked and she immediately called her parents back in Waterdown.
“I told them, ‘I’m going to play in that league someday,’” she says.
She left out the part about how she was going to win the award for top keeper in its first season and play for its inaugural championship this weekend.
McAslan, 25, is the Northern Super League’s Golden Glove winner and her Vancouver Rise club is one win away from hoisting the Diana B. Matheson Cup.
