Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reacted strongly to the recent Delhi blast, describing it as a disturbing reflection of a “new dimension of extremism” in the country.

“Earlier, we believed that a lack of education drove people towards extremism,” Sarma said while addressing the media. “But now, we realise that even education cannot guarantee loyalty to the nation. If a person cannot sing Vande Mataram from their heart, they can never truly be loyal to India.”

The Chief Minister further remarked that education alone cannot reform a person’s core ideology. “Till now, we were taught that education eradicates extremism.
