COLUMBUS, Ohio — Flights out of Columbus have not been impacted too much by the government shutdown, but there are a few destinations seeing the ripple effects.
The top five destinations with the most flights per day out of John Glenn Columbus International Airport include:
New York — Average of 21 flights a day
Chicago — Average of 17 flights a day
Washington, D.C. — Average of 10 flights a day
Atlanta — Average of eight flights a day
Orlando — Average of seven flights a day
On Wednesday, all three New York airports experienced delays and cancellations at John Glenn Columbus. It's the same with Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Chicago. If you're heading to stay at any of those destinations over the next few days, be sure to check your flight status before leaving for the airport.
