A baby who was diagnosed with a brain tumour when she was just three months old has marked her first birthday at home after being given the all-clear from cancer .
Kayleigh Sime, 31, noticed baby daughter Emilie making strange faces and shaking her hands in January last year, just before a family holiday to Spain . Medics initially suspected that the three-month-old baby was having a seizure.
As a result, Kayleigh and her husband, Blake, 30, took Emilie to the University Hospital in Wishaw , North Lanarkshire, where she was then transferred her to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow (RHC).
Emilie was given an electroencephalogram (EEG) to record her brain activity and sent for an MRI as her movements were suspected to be seizures.
