CAMDEN -- The Rev. E. D. Brown, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Stamps, was divested of the office of minister in the Presbyterian church without censure at the morning session of Ouachita presbytery in this city today. The action came following a request of the Rev. Mr. Brown for a statement of the fundamentals of the Presbyterian church, which the presbytery quoted as being "the literal acceptance of the confession of faith." On being questioned, the Rev. Mr. Brown was found not to have been in accord with the Presbyterian form of government and doctrine.
