GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It may be November, but the holiday spirit is back in Grand Rapids as the city welcomed this year's tree at Rosa Parks Circle.
The 37-foot-tall concolor fir tree came from Watson's Tree Farm in Lake City.
Evette Pittman, special events manager for the city, said this is the closest Grand Rapids' tree has been sourced from in nearly 10 years—most years, the tree is delivered from northern Michigan.
She said some members of the special events team and Rockford Construction went to visit the farm over the summer to pick a tree.
"Everyone 100% agreed that this was the tree," she said.
